I am not sure what to judge this against, Editorial? Illustration, Fine Art? I think I will just share how I find it.
It has immediately eye catching appeal. The Red captures my eye immediately and then finds the beutiful Aisii with gawky legs, boots, arms and a delightful hint of breasts.
Then I notice the umbrellas which stops it being fine art and makes it more of an editorial photo. Explaining how the shot was lit with a shoot through for the subject and and umbrella for the set giving shadows tying her to the ground and giving shape to her body.
I then notice the battery power source and then the electric board behind which is incongrous bringing your own power when so much is right next to you. Which begs the question is it live?
The boards look new, there is grafitti, the cables look new. The Red Flag and the hat give me the uninformed impression of Russia; is this a statement of some kind? I have no idea.
I feel that there is a story behind the imagery but have no idea what it is but I simply like the life and vibrancy of this image; particularly the colour and Aisii's pose and expression.
The one thing I would prefer to have been different, and it is a tiny point, is that I find the end of the red flag too close to the light stand. I would have been tempted to have cloned it slightly further away.
I find this a compelling image, delightful to view, interesting to study.
