Daniel Ilinca is an photographer and artist i saw a lot of times on the frontpage of dA already, and took a look at his website as well.
I watched mostly his more erotic photos i must admit however. But this "Poker Night" artwork from him gained my interest in no time!
Due to the new layout on dA i saw a few details on the thumbnail already, but this just has to be seen at the biggest possible size for all the super fitting features and elements going on in this picture.
From the expressions of the poker players, to the whiskey glasses on the table, how one of them was probably thrown down by the dissapointed looking player on the left , the Marlon Brando / Godfather Photo on the wall in the background. I am since 2 years on dA and probably saw tenthousands of photos, photomanipulations and drawn works, but rarely something with so many details which fit together.
This is truly a composition of countless elements combined to a masterpiece.
Excellent work, its a pleasure to see art like this!
If you want to know how he makes the images look like it's digital painting all you need to know is how to turn the sharpness up. The sharpness alone in Light Room or Photoshop can make any image look more crisp and clean. But the down side to making your images over saturated, and sharpened is that you they loose some of the realism. My photography hates when people turn up the sharpness too much.
This is amazing. I would love to see the same kind of still photograph, except with you, Aisii, actually in the photo, a bit of your clothing lost in the game, but a huge stack of chips in front of you as if you are whipping everyone's ass in the poker game.
Great photo. So pristinely clean that upon seeing the thumbnail I thought it might be a painting; pleased to see a rigorously set-up and crafted photograph. The painting and photos on the back wall are quite clever.
