I have no experience in art whatsoever. however, I'd guess that this photo is heavily digitally manipulated. Based on the curvature and flow of the fabric, it almost looks like they got a lot of smooth surfaces such as egg shaped rocks the size of sofas, and laid the fabric on it with a green screen. Then grabbed that fabric off it and then integrated it with the picture of the girl.

There's probably a harness holding the girl steady, and structures keeping the chair in place, which are all removed from the picture before putting it on the background.

haha, sometimes things like these are really easy...you can just ask some friends to throw the fabrics in the air on a count to three.
